Ramco Hard Worker Anchoring Grout (HW402) is a high-strength, non-shrink, cementitious grout specifically engineered for high-precision anchoring and heavy-duty structural fixings. Designed to provide an uncompromising bond between steel and concrete, HW402 is the professional choice for projects where structural stability and vibration resistance are critical.

Whether you are fixing heavy industrial machinery or anchoring structural steel columns, HW402 ensures a rock-solid, gap-free connection that lasts a lifetime.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Non-Shrink Performance: HW402 features a dual-expansion system that compensates for shrinkage in both the plastic and hardened states. This ensures 100% surface contact between the grout and the anchor, eliminating the risk of loosening over time.
  • Exceptional Bond Strength: Formulated with high-performance polymers, it creates a powerful mechanical bond with the concrete substrate and the steel anchor, capable of withstanding massive tensile and shear loads.
  • High Early & Final Strength: Designed for rapid project turnaround, it achieves significant compressive strength within just 24 hours, reaching final strengths that far exceed standard M40 or M50 concrete.
  • Excellent Flowability: The grout has a fluid, self-leveling consistency that allows it to penetrate deep into narrow anchor holes and under base plates without air entrapment or the need for mechanical vibration.
  • Vibration & Impact Resistance: Its dense, high-strength matrix is designed to absorb and dissipate the energy from heavy machinery and dynamic loads, preventing cracks or de-bonding.
  • Corrosion Protection: By creating a dense, low-permeability shield, HW402 protects the steel anchors from moisture and chloride ingress, preventing rust and structural failure.

Primary Applications

  • Machine Foundations: Grouting of heavy industrial equipment, generators, and compressors that require a vibration-free base.
  • Anchor Bolt Fixing: Securing foundation bolts for steel columns, high-mast lights, and transmission towers.
  • Bridge Bearing Pads: Providing a high-strength leveling base for bridge bearings and structural supports.
  • Structural Retrofitting: Used for anchoring rebar or steel plates into existing concrete structures during building upgrades.
  • Crane Rails & Stanchions: Ideal for fixing rails and heavy-duty posts in industrial warehouses and ports.

Application Guide

  1. Preparation: Clean the anchor hole or base plate area thoroughly. Remove all dust, grease, and loose concrete.
  2. Pre-Wetting: For cementitious substrates, soak the area with water for at least 2 hours. Ensure all standing water is removed just before grouting.
  3. Mixing: Add HW402 powder to the measured quantity of water. Use a mechanical mixer for 3–5 minutes until a smooth, flowable, and lump-free paste is formed.
  4. Pouring: Pour the grout continuously from one side only to prevent air pockets. For base plates, ensure the grout is poured until it flows out from the opposite side.
  5. Curing: Exposed grout surfaces should be kept moist or covered with a wet burlap/curing compound for at least 7 days to ensure full strength development.

Why Choose HW402 Over Standard Mortar?

Standard cement-sand mortars shrink significantly as they dry, creating a tiny "void" around the anchor bolt or under the base plate. This gap causes the anchor to vibrate and eventually fail under load. Ramco Hard Worker HW402 is engineered to expand slightly during curing, "locking" the anchor into the structure with a permanent, high-strength grip.
