Roff Yogafix Adhesive is an ultra-premium, high-polymer-modified, highly flexible cementitious tile adhesive engineered by Pidilite Industries. Designed specifically for high-stress applications, it is a Class S2 Highly Deformable thin-set adhesive. This advanced formulation allows it to act as a flexible, shock-absorbing cushion that tolerates significant substrate movement and continuous structural vibrations without cracking or debonding.
While regular tile adhesives become brittle and snap when exposed to environmental changes or mechanical stress, Roff Yogafix is engineered to handle large-format tiles, slim porcelain slabs, and heavy natural stones at any height, both indoors and outdoors. It fully complies with the strict standards of IS 15477:2019 Type 4 'T' S2 and global ISO 13007 / EN 12004 Class C2TES2.
Key Features & Benefits
- Class S2 High-Deformability: Infused with an exceptionally high volume of specialized polymers, giving the adhesive bed maximum elasticity to sustain continuous substrate vibrations, shifting, and structural settling.
- Extreme Sag Resistance ('T'): Formulated with excellent initial grab, allowing installers to fix heavy, oversized tiles and natural stones on vertical walls and external facades safely without any sliding or sagging.
- Extended Open Working Time ('E'): Provides a generous minimum 35-minute open window. This extended timing gives masonry crews plenty of time to precisely slide, align, and level large panels even in dry outdoor environments.
- Sustains Heat Ageing & Weather Stress: Highly stable against severe temperature changes, intense UV exposure, and heavy rain. This makes it the ideal candidate for exterior layouts, terraces, saunas, spas, and swimming pools.
- Water-Submerged Stability: Dense, low-permeability crystalline structure that maintains its powerful bond even when continuously submerged in water.
- Low VOC Formula: Eco-friendly composition with exceptionally low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) ensuring high safety clearances for healthy residential indoor use.
Primary Applications
- Premium Materials: Perfect for large-format vitrified tiles, low-thickness slim porcelain sheets, precast terrazzo, terracotta, glass mosaics, and premium natural stones (marble, granite, quartzite).
- Challenging Substrates: Seamlessly bonds over concrete surfaces, cement-based screeds, sand-cement plasters, existing tile-on-tile applications, and drywall systems (such as cement, bison, or gypsum boards).
- High-Stress Environments: Ideal for building facades, high-rise claddings, balconies, terraces, podium decks, heavy foot-traffic areas, swimming pools, fountains, and window/door frames.
The Variants of Roff Yogafix Adhesive
To match distinct stone transparencies, tile background shades, and aesthetic parameters, the Yogafix series is divided into two specialized variants:
1. Roff Yogafix Grey - T25
- The Structural Powerhouse: Formulated with a premium grey cement base.
- Best Used For: Standard large-format vitrified floor slabs, darker porcelain panels, heavy granites, exterior slate facades, and any application where underlying shadow discoloration will not bleed through or impact the tile's face color.
- Packaging Size: Heavy-duty 20 Kg bags.
- The Aesthetic Specialist: Formulated with high-grade, high-purity white cement.
- Best Used For: Mandatory when fixing glass mosaic tiles, pure white onyx, translucent natural quartzites, and light-colored imported marbles (like Carrara or Statuario). Using a grey adhesive under translucent layouts causes unappealing gray shadow marks, whereas the T26 White ensures an invisible backing and a flawless finish.
- Packaging Size: Heavy-duty 20 Kg bags.

Application Guidelines
- Substrate Assessment: Ensure the background surface is structurally sound, level, completely dry, and entirely free of oil, paint, or loose laitance. Lightly dampen dry or dusty plaster surfaces with water right before troweling.
- Mixing: Slowly add the Yogafix powder to clean, measured water. Blend using a slow-speed mechanical paddle mixer for 3 to 5 minutes until a smooth, lump-free paste forms. Allow the paste to rest (slake) for 5 minutes, then remix briefly before applying.
- Double Buttering Strategy: Comb the adhesive onto the wall or floor using an appropriately sized notched trowel. For all exterior installations, high altitude cladding, or when setting jumbo-sized panels, back-buttering (applying a thin scratch-coat of adhesive directly to the back of the tile) is mandatory to ensure 100% full bed transfer.
- Tile Placing: Press the stone or tile firmly into the combed adhesive ridges with a subtle twisting movement. Tap gently using a rubber mallet to remove hollow air pockets and flatten lines. Maintain matching joints using high-quality tile spacers, and protect the fresh install from traffic or rain for 24 hours.
