Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Build Kingdom, we specialize in the delivery of heavy-duty construction materials. Due to the weight and volume of products like cement, steel, sand, and bricks, our shipping procedures differ from standard e-commerce. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.

1. Delivery Areas & Timelines

  • Serviceable Zones: We currently deliver in Bangalore GBA limits. Please check serviceable Pin code before placing the order
  • Standard Delivery: Most materials (Cement, Steel) are delivered within 24–48 hours of order confirmation.
  • Bulk Commodities: Natural materials like Sand and Bricks may take 2–4 business days depending on kiln availability and quarry permissions.
  • Delivery Hours: Deliveries are typically made between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Night delivery can be arranged for restricted urban zones upon special request.

2. Shipping Charges

  • Weight-Based Pricing: Shipping costs are calculated based on the total weight of the order and the distance from our nearest warehouse/yard.
  • Minimum Order Quantity: Minimum order quantity is applicable and a "Flat" delivery fee is applicable.
  • Tolls & Entry Fees: Any state-entry taxes, forest department permits (for sand), or local municipal tolls are [Included/Excluded] in the final checkout price.

3. Site Accessibility & Vehicle Entry

The customer is responsible for ensuring the delivery site is accessible.

  • Vehicle Type: We use various vehicles ranging from 1-ton pickups to 20-ton multi-axle trucks.
  • Access Requirements: You must ensure there are no low-hanging wires, weak bridges, or narrow lanes that prevent a heavy truck from reaching your site.
  • Point of Delivery: Delivery will be made to the nearest point the vehicle can safely reach ("Curbside Delivery"). Our drivers are not permitted to drive onto unpaved or unstable ground that may cause the vehicle to get stuck.

4. Unloading Policy

  • Standard Delivery: Our shipping quote includes transport only. Unloading is the responsibility of the customer. You must ensure adequate labor is present at the site when the truck arrives.
  • Unloading Service: If you require unloading services (e.g., carrying cement bags to a specific floor), this must be pre-booked at an additional labor charge during checkout.
  • Unloading Time Limit: A grace period of [e.g., 2 hours] is provided for unloading. Delays beyond this will attract "Vehicle Detention Charges" at a rate of Rs.200 per hour.

5. Inspection & Shortages

  • On-Site Verification: You or your authorized representative (Contractor/Supervisor) must be present at the time of delivery to sign the Delivery Challan (DC).
  • Damage/Shortage: Any visible damage (e.g., torn cement bags) or shortage in quantity (e.g., brick count) must be noted on the DC and reported to our customer care immediately. Once the vehicle leaves the site, claims for shortages will not be entertained.

6. Weather & Force Majeure

Construction deliveries are highly dependent on weather conditions.

  • Rain: Deliveries of cement and sand may be rescheduled during heavy rain to prevent material spoilage.
  • Regulatory Restrictions: We are not liable for delays caused by sudden government bans on mining (sand), truck entry restrictions, or festival-related traffic curbs.

7. Failed Delivery Attempts

If a delivery fails due to the site being locked, lack of unloading labor, or inaccessible roads, the customer will be liable for:

  1. The original shipping fee.
  2. A re-delivery fee for the second attempt.
  3. Any storage charges incurred at our warehouse in the interim.
